Mainstream Hip-Hop publication XXL Magazine is releasing a special, collector's edition later this month (if not already) that chronicles 250 of the greatest Hip-Hop songs from 1990-1999. They deem this to be "rap's best decade ever!" I'm not in anyway endorsing this magazine (come on, we can all be mature and have a convo right???), but found the topic quite interesting. I don't plan to buy the mag by any means. But, I had a thought cross my mind... Up to this very day, what would you consider to be 250 of the greatest Christian Hip Hop songs ever???

Compiling 250 of the greatest Hip Hop songs is a large undertaking. I'm almost sure that  XXL didn't throw their list together without some deep thought, maybe a little lot of research, and perhaps even some heated debates. You know how folks can get when it comes to music!  I can see them now, going back and forth for hours into the night over this list! 250 songs??? You feel me?

XXL will be presenting a special, collector’s issue later this month that counts down the top 250 hip-hop songs from 1990-1999. Regarded as the best decade in hip-hop music ever, XXL’s staff took on the daunting task of narrowing down the genre’s most important, influential and, of course, the illest joints from the 1990s. Fans will be surprised at who did, and did not make it onto the definitive list.

What are the 20 greatest Christian Hip Hop songs ever??? Be objective about it, not just choosing your favorite artists. But what have been some of the dopest songs to come out of this genre?

20 minutes later: Argh! LOL! I tried putting a list together but couldn't even get pass the first five without constant changes! So many great songs to choose, and from so many albums that I consider to be classic! Sigh... What about you? What are your 20 greatest songs ever?
