World Renowned Evangelist Luis Palau Offers Christian Hip Hop Artists an Opportunity to Tap Into His Creative Arts Alliance

Tre9:  What is the Luis Palau Creative Arts Alliance?

Raymond: The vision is to proclaim Christ Jesus through exceptional art forms.  We exist to stand against competitiveness, fragmentation and division within the body of Christian artists, in order to share the good news of Jesus Christ effectively.  We understand how God uses artists within music genre's such as hip hop, rock, punk, indie, alternative, etc… as an instrument to share the gospel.  We develop relationships amongst artists so that they can serve one another as a body, instead of feeling alone in their efforts.

Tre9:  So how can artists benefit from the alliance?

Raymond: We have over 250 partner evangelists and/or evangelistic organizations worldwide.  We all need Christian artists in their outreaches to share the good news in an evangelistic voice that is relevant to those who attend the events, crusades, revivals, and such.  We partner them with potential venue opportunities.  We will have six national Luis Palau alliance summits nationwide in 2010.  Alliances such as Livin It include action sports, skateboarders, BMX riders, surfers, & snowboarders. Then there is the NGA (Next Generation Alliance) which consists of traditional evangelists and evangelistic organizations.  With the Creative Arts Alliance, we identify artists, equip them with tools such as this conference, and then we mobilize them with our evangelistic outreach partners.

Tre9:  I've been to many conferences within the Christian hip hop music industry, and they all start off with a vision to serve the artists, but they end up becoming more performance based and less about equipping artists with the things they need to make it full time in ministry.  What will make your organization any different from all the other conferences that exist to serve artists?

Raymond:  Luis Palau has been in ministry for over 40 plus years.  He and his team have shared the gospel with over one billion people over the course of his ministry.  We are seeking Christian artists to go spread the good news in innovative and creative ways, such as Christian hip hop artists are doing.  By artists joining the creative arts alliance, our headquarters will open up to them for visits, meetings, conferences, etc… on how to develop their ministry.  For instance if they need to understand how they can set up a festival in their own city, we will set them up with our festival dept.  If they need to be linked up with an evangelistic organization, we will link them up with an one of our NGA members.  If they need help with financial development of their non-profit organization, we will help them with that as well.  It's all about making ourselves available beyond the conferences and events.  Our offices have been open Monday through Friday for many years, so we are not a fly by night operation.  We are here to build lasting relationships that empower Christina artists as evangelists in today's world.

Tre9:  How can an artist get plugged into your alliance?

Raymond:  Contact me at This e-mail address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it and I will send you and application if you are an artist.  My office phone number is 503-614-1513.  Our website is www.palau.org.  Visit www.creativeartsalliance.wordpress.com for direct info about the CAA.
