With the onset of his upcoming record and DVD release, Israel Houghton and New Breed have grafted in a new member in the form of La Familia Muzik artist Ryan Horton.  Ryan is making his debut in Houghton’s vocal section as Israel and his renowned band and vocal ensemble embark on a live album recording, their first project of this sort in 5 years.

Lamp Mode artist Json's new album Growing Pains drops on February 21st, and just like Swoope's upcoming project, you can hear snippets of the whole project online. 2012 is proving to be a very interesting year. As if it wasn't enough that The Bus Shop will be closing in March of this year, Holy Culture Download has just announced that they too will be closing their doors later this month.

Scheduled to dissolve on February 28th, Holy Culture Download originally began as 3Hmp3 and was the very first Christian download store. The store was the founded by Victor Padilla (Vic), who was also the founder of Holy Culture Radio at the time. He and his business partner with HCR, Anonymous, owned the store together as a partnership. Vic eventually sold his ownership of the store to James 'Trig" Rosseau (also co-owner of Holy Culture), and he and Anonymous remained the sole owners to this day. 

Here is the official statement from their site. After reading it, their reasoning for closing makes a lot of sense.

It's a new year and it has started with an absolute bang! We were doing the Top 10 music videos of the month, but now so many great videos are coming out that we had to up the list to 20! What were the Top 20 music videos of January 2012??? 

Here is what we look for:

1. Level of creativity and difficulty (or even simplicity; sometimes less is more)
2. Video quality
3. How well the visual goes with the music
4. Quality of the song
5. Ability to spark and hold interest

Director Nomar Rosa of Seventhwire Films releases his highly anticipated short film called “The Book of Songs.” You may know Nomar as the creative director behind the music videos for Rawsrvnt and Blaze Torch. With his unique cinematic style and particular story telling on low to no budget shoots, Nomar has caught the attention of many believers with this powerful story about Physical and Spiritual abuse. The story centers around a young boy named JB who with the loss of his father has found no hope in life. Although he seeks to be happy, his dark secret haunts him and he rejects any form of happiness. 

I guess with the U.S military leaving Iraq, they can now focus on American "insurgents." The previous was broadcasted a few days ago about military maneuvers being conducted in downtown L.A during the Lakers game. This is yet another example of the merging between local police and military personnel.  After watching video, see also RED FLAG #4.
