With a father who is a singer and a mother who is a rapper. The Larry Wilson is no stranger to talent. Born and raised in Minneapolis, MN. The Larry Wilson has always been known as a well-gifted & talented young man. Father an Ordained Minister and Step-Mother a Deaconess. Wilson has had a strong foundation in the Body of Christ most of his life. At the vital age of 17 Wilson got his “License to Preach". His calling has blessed with the opportunity to Preach and Speak to/for various congregation, programs, and classes before the age of 18.
Formerly known as “L-Gully”, The Larry Wilson has built a strong name for himself as a “Standout for Christ” being Christian Rapper in the secular-dominated Minneapolis/St. Paul Hip-Hop Arena. Being the first Christian Rapper to perform at the Legendary First Avenue Nightclub (Purple Rain), Twin Cities Greek Step Show, Juneteenth Celebration, Mall of America, and many other events in the Twin Cities area. Hard work and dedication to the Kingdom of Heaven has given The Larry Wilson the opportunity to promote the Gospel of Jesus Christ. Performing with the Legendary MC Lyte, opening for Naughty by Nature, and Underground Hip Hop Heavyweights; Rhymesayers Entertainment. Organizing the “Twin Cities Celebration of Hip-Hop” and Winning All-City talents shows and Poetry Slams can also be added to his resume.
In August 2008, Wilson received his College Degree in Graphic Design. His degree has given him the opportunity to work with Holy Hip Hop Artist XROSS and son KJ, Mainstream Hip-Hop Production Team Khalil Productions, Mainstream Hip-Hop/R&B Songwriter Kobe, Koch Records; have his Art Featured in U-Zone Magazine, and Hip-Hop blog DJBooth.Net, as well as various other major National and International organizations, musicians, and publications.
The Larry Wilson’s model is “Image is Everything”, meaning everything has to look good at all times. Especially when it comes to the “Soul Saving Business”. He aspires to inspire a lost world to answer the “call to repentance” through every platform and talent the Lord has given Him.
