Flavor Fest 2012 - Tampa, FL October 4th-7th, 2012 @ Crossover Church
Flavor Fest 12 is our 12th annual conference. Many conferences and "ministry trends" never last that long. We're still here. The Fest is so much more than just another conference or a passing trend. For more than a decade many young, innovative leaders have been growing and maturing. Many have been saying "We Got Next..." We've been praying and planning about how the church could look and how it biblically should look. Many of us have now stepped into lead positions in our churches and ministries and it's a new day for the urban, multi-ethnic church as "Next is Now". But, how will we steward we have been given? What will change? What needs to stay the same? These are the things we'll discuss, dialog and wrestle with at Flavor Fest 12 as we ask God to equip us to LEAD by his spirit. We can't wait to see what he's going to do October 4th - 7th. We pray you can come and grow with us... and LEAD at FF 12 as "Next is Now!"

ACCOUNTABILITY?
To whom it may concern: I was born & raised in New Orleans, Louisiana. I have been a part of the Christian hip hop world since 1999. I’ve never cared about computers or doing albums. I was busy serving in my local church (Armor Bearer, Counselor, Sound Man, etc.) and doing local outreaches. As you might remember, Hurricane Katrina hit my city hard so my family and I moved to Houston in 2005. It was then I discovered “Dasouth.com” and how large the CHH genre really was.

UPDATE: "Nebulous" has reached the Top 10 on Bandcamp, currently sitting in the #8 spot. Let's keep pushing!
Monday evening Illect Recordings artist Wes Pendleton released a "pay what you want" style album called Nebulous on Bandcamp. There is also a deluxe edition available for only $5. All beats were be Wes and he is joined by a few special guests.
Here's what Wes had to say, "Basically this project is my way of sharing some inner turmoil I went through with balancing how I do my music, with the expectations of folks who support, and the realization that I am now marketed to a totally different base altogether. I started off like a bolt of lightning, and then felt like I ran into some obstacles which caused some frustration and confusion. So the outlook began looking hazy, and I wasn't sure if I could really see where this was going, hence the title name "Nebulous". So this little nugget is basically my way of working some things out, starting with ultimately just trusting God that he knows what He's doing, and the outcome is gonna be blessed regardless. So, like the project shows, this all starts out with me and Him, and ultimately ends with me and Him as well, and from this point I can carry out what I am supposed to do without and worries."

DaSouth.com presents Thi'sl in concert Friday, May 18th in Durham, NC - Click here for details!
CLICK HERE TO WATCH THE MUSIC VIDEO
Full Ride Music Group recording artist, Thi’sl, has had the hip-hop scene buzzing with his most recent musical works. From his release of Beautiful Monster, which debuted No. 4 on the iTunes hip-hop charts, No.24 on Billboard Rap Charts, all while being completely indie. Now, with his music video release for “Hey Moma,” Thi’sl proceeds to supply his audience with quality work that points to an even more superior message.
Thi’sl’s “Hey Momma” is a song that celebrates the strength, beauty, and importance of women and mothers everywhere. As a kid growing up in the hood, Thi’sl witnessed how countless women in the community endured many hardships in an effort to open doors for the next generation. Overworked and many times fatigued, these women gave of themselves to benefit others. However, a lot of them failed to receive the proper gratitude and appreciation they deserved for the efforts.
