Columbus, OH – More than three years after the unveiling of his critically acclaimed debut album Reach, national recording artist, KamBINO, is finally set to release his highly anticipated sophomore album entitled IN·DE·PEN·DENCE. The apparent disappearance of the MC led many to question whether or not he’d abandoned the craft which landed him on Rapzilla.com’s “11 Freshmen of 2011” and “Best of 2010” lists, amongst others. Ecclesiastes 3:1 says "To every thing there is a season, and a time to every purpose under the heaven."
In 2007 I became co-owner of DaSouth.com with my business partner Bobby "Tre9" Herring. The site made its first appearance online in May 2001, and not many years afterwards fell completely off the map. DaSouth.com re-launched to critical acclaim on November 4, 2008. It's been six long years since my first involvement. Let me give you some brief background on how my involvement as co-owner and this re-launch all started, as well as what the future holds.

What happens when you take a foundation of hip-hop and add influences of rock, jazz, pop, and indie styles? You'll find inspirational hip-hop artist Joshua Crum aka J. Crum. The midwest based musician is breaking out the box of your typical rap music. Josh began writing lyrics at age 16, and dropped his first mixtape at age 17. Since 2005, He has been actively pursuing his music ministry and career. He has added singing and worship leading to his forte and has been combining those aspects to his ministry since 2008. The inspiration for his sound is very widespread, ranging from Florence + The Machine to Lupe Fiasco; from Kanye West to Fall Out Boy. Crum serves as Co-Worship Leader at G2:20 Youth Ministry, and although he's unrestricted as a musician and artist, his passion lies in creating powerful counterculture music for his generation.

On April 16, 2013 we wrote a news update that DaSouth.com Is Moving to a new web host. We had planned for the migration to be easy and painless, but little did we know what waited around the corner. Without boring you with the details, our site was down for a week! In 5 years, since our launch in 2008, we had never been down any more than a few hours.
We are pleased to say that our migration is pretty much complete, and we are working out minor server hiccups and tweaks.
As always, thank you so much for your continued support of DaSouth.com. And a huge thank you for those who assisted us through the migration. You know who you are!
God bless,
Aziz Peregrino-Brimah DaSouth.com Co-owner
