Recently DJ Wade-O had Fred Price Jr. (Pastor of Crenshaw Christian Center in L.A.) on his show to discuss prosperity, a prominent doctrine within the Word of Faith denomination. For too long opposing circles have demonized preachers and followers who ascribe to this doctrine. What exactly is the prosperity doctrine? In this compelling and insightful interview Fred Price Jr. explains what the prosperity gospel is and more.

Saints, a birthing is coming forth, even nigh at hand. The Lord is birthing an army of soldiers that will NOT come forth drinking milk, but will be eating the MEAT of His Word ! They will NOT be crawling, for they will come forth RUNNING ! The Light of the Word of God will shine in and through them ! They will not be ashamed, for there will be NO COMPROMISE in them !
As this birthing is coming forth, also, there is another birthing from the enemy ! Strong disillusion will grip and control them ! They will seem to have the Light of Life, but there is no Light in them, only a reflection of the light, and will through this, persuade many down a wrong road, taking away the POWER of God from those that will listen and be deceived ! They will make a direct stand against the Truth, and present a false Christ !!!
BEWARE saints !!! BEWARE ... !!! Have your ears on ! Get into the scriptures and be able to DISCERN !!!

@Holla-Fest the point to us talking is to agree. The black and white of it is that we all really standing for the same thing (Jesus Christ) we (CCC) doesn't operate in the gray either (which represents lukewarmness). After every conversation (with what some would call the other side) they realize that we stand for the same thing. Look I don't agree with every Non Denominational church (or any other church for that matter) on some issues which include prosperity. I think it is sad that we are all put in the same pot and judged when we all are not a like. To me it is sad that the enemy has us going back and forth when a world is dying and going to hell.

@ Holla-Fest As the Youth Minister at CCC I can answer your question concerning weather we would or would not have them (Cross Movement, Lampmode or Reach) minister to our youth. The answer to that is we don't request them, but we are not closed off to allowing them to be a part (we just have to talk to them first) of any of our services. I have also been open to have Everyday Process, Dewayne Tryumph as well as This'l come for our Blueprint Remix youth services and conferences. As was said in the interview last year we had J.R. for one of our conferences. After we spoke with him we realized that we have the same views. So, we are not closed to them coming, but we must communicate with them first to make sure we are on the same page. 1 Corinthians 14:33

There are many issues within the faith that are worthy of debate that shouldn't cause division. Things such as charismatic gifts, dispensation, calvinism vs. arminianism I believe can be debated without dividing. It's where doctrines are presented which change who Jesus is, or deny God's omnipotence I see as worthy of division by reason of heresy, and these are the issues I have come across with what is called Word of Faith movement. Claims that God needs permission from humans to move on earth, that Jesus became devine only at baptism, that His work on Calvary wasn't enough and He had to suffer at the hands of demons in hell...if these aren't heretical at the least, I don't know what is.
And it's not enough to say "we all believe in Jesus" and unite over that, because Mormons believe in Jesus, and Jehovahs Witnesses believe in Jesus as well. To Mormons he's an alien hybrid and Jehovah is a man who became one god in a succession of gods, and to JW's he's just Michael the archangel, but they believe in Jesus. Should we ignore these demonic doctrines and unite with them as well? Everyone who claims to believe in Jesus does not believe in the true Christ of the bible.
Certainly the Bible shows God's ability and willingness to prosper his people, but WOF seems to add much to that which doesn't belong, and removes things that do.

How about some folks give some scripture for why they disagree with God's ability to prosper his people. Prosperity doctrine and the nature of God and how Jesus dies on the cross aren't all the same thing. Seems many of you are placing them all in the same pot and calling it "prosperity doctrine." Not so. There are people who teach error in all Christian denominations, not just WOF.
God's ability and willingness to prosper his people is all in the bible. And yes, he can do it even in a 3rd world country. When Joseph was in Egypt, was not the land in famine (like a 3rd world country)? When the children of Israel left Egypt, were they not in the wilderness, and the Lord fed them miraculously?
My bible tells me that God is still the same yesterday, today and forever more. Anyone who says that is not true is the one teaching from a different bible.
Believe dat...

Nobody wants to throw blows at anyone. What you see is passion and genuine concern for the faith. I am a very conservative 30 year old confessional Presbyterian. This discussion gets me very passionate because from my perspective I see this issue being about the gospel, not a personal attack on any WOF teacher or preacher.
I believe the WOF movement teaches error at best and heresy at worst. The movement is know for the teaching that Jesus was rich and you can be too, Jesus suffered in hell for the forgiveness of sins, Jesus was a regular man until his baptism, that we are little gods, that our words are containers for our faith and that we can speak health and health into existence. Oh and don't forget the one about God needing our permission to act in anyway on this earth. The issues are beyond personal vendettas. So I would never want to punch Fred Price Jr or his father or Benny Hinn, but as a Christian who believes in certain essential doctrines I cannot stand by and act as if we are all one happy family. Ignoring the issues in the name of unity is not loving at all. The loving thing to do is to expose error in love, call men and woman to repentance in love and to share the truth in love.
Remember the Apostle Paul faced teachers who were for all account self proclaimed Christians. They preached Jesus, they preached the cross. Yet Paul had a major issue with them because despite the fact they preached some essential truths, They preached enough error to pollute the gospel truth. in the book of Galatians Paul announces them to be eternally condemned. He doesn't tell gentile churches to ignore important differences for the sake of unity. Instead over again we are told to defend the faith, to judge righteously and to be like the Bereans. Scripture is Gods revelation of Himself to us. He gives us his word so we can know the truth. So the argument laid out by DJ Wade-O and Fred Price Jr. that we should all get along because we will never know it all doesn't hold up to scriptures command of being sound in doctrine.

If You dont believe like Cross Movement or whoever believes, then keep it real.. but dont front because you want to have a good standing relationship with them... that is WIGGIDY Whack...
Alot of people speak their mind until an opportunity arises to work with that person or unless they are about to get "black listed" by that ministry because of different beliefs...
Then Everybody wants to scream UNITY and dont even have a clue what UNITY really is....
we gotta stop being FAKE and learn how to be honest and not "DUCK" questions and certain topics in fear of losing "fans" or "friends" SMH
JESUS IS THE REASON WE LIVE, lets start acting that way.. we always say WWJD.... He would keep it real...

Yeah I'm with the cat that said there's wasn't much talk on the doctrine, but it was about how people have acted/treated/reacted which I feel was needed. Good job Wade-O! It's always kind of "funny" to me that people don't know that there are deep divisions or sharp disagreements on certain issues of doctrine. No disrespect at all, but it often shows that we tend to get caught in not only a "christian bubble" but our own "denomination/camp bubble."
For me as a DJ and pastor, I've been at churches and events with people and churches whose doctrine was different from mine and convictions varied greatly from my own. I was even part of a crew that was diverse in fine points of doctrine and expressions of the faith. It was beautiful to see when those took a back seat to things we have in common and rep Christ.
What has broken my heart is when fine points doctrine have been the focus at outreaches and not the gospel. There are sharp disagreements between expressions of being filled with the Spirit, calvinism/arminianism, prosperty doctrine, theology rhymes with christian words/conscious rap... We can all agree that people need Christ. We can all agree that people need to follow Christ as his disciple. It's sad to watch followers of Christ get caught up in fine point/disputable doctrine and forget getting caught up with Christ. Not that choppin' it up on doctrine is bad (there's value in that)...but if that becomes our focus we forget to reflect Christ and a dying world finds that unbelievable. In fact we become more like modern day Pharisees...sometimes in hip hop clothing.

First of all Christianity as a whole body should have faith, no matter the denomination. We are all growing and learning more. Some Christians have taken a vow of poverty to show humility; that is their choice. You can see from the children of Abraham to the diciples, all of them had money. For example of Joseph was was on Pharaoh's board and Peter had his own fishing business. Money isnt evil, the love of money is the root of evil. Like I said before, we are all human and have fallen short of the glory, and will all are still growing. ONE LOVE, GOD'S LOVE!

i think Wade-O did an excellet job!
@Toussaint....i dont think Wade-O purposely set out to ask questions that were biased. i think he asked questions as the Lord directed him for the show. The bible says in Romans 12 "let each one minister according to the proportion of faith given him'...meaning....Wade-O asked the correct questions that needed to be asked that stood in line with his format for the wade-o radio show that the Lord placed in his hands. now, it might not have been the questions you & i would have asked, as i would have gone way more deeper in addressing the cross movement issue, and possibly asked more questions thats interelated to that particular issue....but hey....i didnt even know Fred Price Jr. had a issue with Cross Movement...so the questions that was asked was just what needed to be asked. keep it up Wade-O!
now speaking personally coming from the format of Holla-Fest Radio...i personally would have gone deeper in asking fred price jr. how does him "letting it go" agree with where the bible says "two cant walk unless they agree" cross movement havent changed thier reformed theological views, in spite of the moral failure by some of thier frontmen...thier beliefs are still the same towards the WOF movement.
letting go a personal grudge is one thing but allowing them to minsiter at your chruch or uniting with them in ministry is two totally different things.
my question to Fred Price jr. would have been "would you now invite them to your church to minister to his youth bieng that he let go of his personal hurt towards them?"
But the Lord knows what he was doing!

My opinion about the Word of Faith is not based on he say she say whoopty whoop. I have been making records since 1990 after graduating from Hampton University . After working with brothers in Compton and deathrow records and joining mosque 27 with my former frat brother . I left the west coast came back down south and started Cross Da Traxxx Ent. After 8 CDeez I turned from my wicked ways and a little church in New york DWC gave me my first bible at 35 years of Age .After much prayer I received revelation about the Messiah Yahshua through the written Word of Yah. And as a Baby Christian in 2001 i knew that preachers like Creflo Dollar were talking about another Yahshua . Yashua did not pay for our sins in hell at the hands of demons .. And now i know where they get that doctrine from ...EW Kenyon ....From the Cross to the Throne......
I am a youth leader at Word of Faith in detroit mi. I am still new to HHH but i was suprised by the big divide the "prosperity" message causes. I just want to give a big up to Wade-O and Pastor Price Jr. for this interview. I mos def feel Pastor Prices pain in really trying to get a grasp on this. Just to fish tail off of the interview it is time for us to stand as one. I will be 30 this summer and its our turn to run things. Back to Fred Price Jr., i commend him for being so approachable and wanting to sit it down with other preachers of faith. i would love for him to chop it up with ergun caner, McAthur, Piper, Jon Falwell, and other men of God to direct him on this false doctrine of "prosperity is OWED TO ME".

I love Wade-O.. His show is getting better every listen. Pastor Price Jr. seemed really down to earth, but I kept waiting for an explanation of prosperity gospel. Unfortunately, the entire interview avoided the real meat of that subject. Just because I disagree with "prosperity gospel" doesn't mean I'm judging WOF believers/ministers to hell.
Most of my co-workers attend Creflo's church in Atlanta and I SEE with my own eyes that they live beyond their means. They seem to feel the need to show they're blessed and buy nice cars/homes on credit that they know they can't afford. They're adamant about tithing, yet tell me "keeping Sabbath is old testament" then dismiss my keeping Sabbath as OT.? .. Hello, so is tithing!!! giving EVERYTHING, not 10% is mentioned in NT.. I need an explanation why many(not just WOF) churches believe in this, yet dismiss the rest of OT law.? I say lets go to the scripture and see the truth. I will gladly talk to anyone for or against "prosperity doctrine".. Should we just turn a blind eye to false prophets because they preach "Jesus"?
Ezek 22:26 Her priests have violated my law, and have profaned mine holy things: they have put no difference between the holy and profane, neither have they showed difference between the unclean and the clean, and have hid their eyes from my sabbaths, and I am profaned among them.

Wade-O is definitely going to need someone from the "other side" if he wants to call his show balanced. The show was super biased. If you wanna believe things that didn't exist 200 yrs ago, let alone 2,000 yrs, then I have no desire to unify with you. I hope this show doesn't make any strides in unifying ppl. No one wants unity for unity's sake. wooow, prosperity teachers are getting passes now...
I did not like this interview written by Toussaint,
January 31, 2010
First, the joint was biased at best. The questions were not poignant. Either Wade-O didn't wanna ask the right questions or he didn't know enough about the other side to ask the right questions. We all want unity. DUH!!!!!! One side wants unity to the truth of God's word and the other side says "you don't know everything" as if there is no clear objective truth when it comes to the text. To simply put it. Proponents of the WOF Movement want unity despite essential, doctrinal differences. NO WAY!
Secondly, the shepherd is never told to go have a conversation with the wolf. The shepherd protects the sheep from the wolf. You'll never see the intermingling of the two because we don't sacrifice truth for the sake of unity. Ask the right questions, man. There is a teaching of prosperity, no doubt. However, it doesn't remotely resemble anything that these cats are preaching.
I'm not sympathetic or moved by this joint at all. At the end of the day Fred Jr. still preaches the same Jesus that his father preached and that Jesus is not the Christ of scripture. If Fred Jr. actually listened to MacArthur, he would probably leave his church.

The Necessity of Recognition
Pastor Price,
I received this e-mail from a friend of mine. My repsonses are in red. I am writing this because scripture dictates that the Azusa experience was a farce. It was an emotional occurrence that has unfortunately lasted over a century later. Experience does not confirm Truth, nor does it validate it either.
People who claim blessing because they tithe does not prove that tithing is a New Testament requirement. The scripture must validate that it's true for the Church. You never hear preachers asking for those who give only offerings to come before the congregation to testify of their blessing do you? As for recognition, I don't seek it out. I have a ministry that exposes greek organizations and freemansory. I am the least bit concerned whether people want to recognize me or the message.
The Necessity of Recognition By Dr. Frederick K.C. Price Via Streaming Faith Daily Devotionals Several well meaning individuals have written articles regarding reconciliation and unifying all ethnic groups as one in America. I applaud these individuals for their fine, timely and insightful motives. But I'd like us to focus on the use of the word reconciliation in reference to black people and white people. This is a term we have been hearing in the Church today. I would certainly not say anything negative concerning anyone's efforts to make reconciliation a reality in our troubled times. However, I would like to suggest that reconciliation, even though it is a very worthy endeavor, is totally out of place right now in our society because reconciliation is not the issue. Let me clarify what I mean. In Webster's New International Dictionary, we find that the first definition of "reconcile" is: To cause to be friendly again; to restore to friendship; to bring back to harmony; as, to reconcile persons who have quarreled. This definition pinpoints why I disagree with the idea of reconciliation between blacks and whites. Webster's says "reconcile" means "to restore friendship." Reconciliation cannot work between blacks and whites because in this nation and in the Church we have never been friends. According to Webster's, the first definition for "friend" is: One who entertains for another such sentiments of esteem, respect, and affection that he seeks his society and welfare. Esteem? Respect? Affection? Seeks his society and welfare? Does any of this describe our society or the Church's feelings for and behavior towards black people? This is why I say that although reconciliation is being put forth by people of good intentions and good hearts-people who want to do what's right-it is the wrong concept for the needs of our time. Only equals can be reconciled. And black people in America and in the Church have never been accepted as equals by society and by the Church as a whole. We have been accepted as inferiors. And you cannot reconcile an equal with an inferior. The first step towards a good relationship between blacks and whites is not reconciliation, but recognition. We need the Church, the white Church, to accept once and for all that when the Bible says, "and he has made out of one blood every nation of men," God is making it very clear that like all other people, blacks are equal with white people.
Jesus Did Not Pay It All On The Cross written by Min. H,
January 31, 2010
Jesus' death on the cross was not enough. According to WOF movement and preachers, past and present, this is a cornerstone of this denomination. Fred Price Sr. believed it, and FPJr follows in his father's footsteps. I e-mailed FPJr on 12-27-10, this is what I said,
"To Fred Price Jr.,
I saw your message about Christmas. You claim that Jesus is the reason for the season, but He is not. The Early Church Fathers, nor the EARLY CHURCH DID NOT celebrate the birth of Christ. You said who's birthday and why is it December 25th that we are celebrating. Had you done some simple research, Nimrod would have come to the forefront. If we were to celebrate Christ's Birthday in a Biblical manner, there would be no need to defend it. But since we hijacked it from the pagans, Catholics included, they have every right to call us out.
Another word of advice; when you want to be all deep about something like Christmas, get the easy information that there is no required tithing for New Testament Christians straight.
God Bless You!!!!!!!!!
Allow me to ask if you agree with this statement,
"Satan was seated on his throne with sickening grin on his face with his lip twisted in grotesque triumph and all the imps of hell were dancing a jig and the word came we got him now we defeated the plan of god and the devil was sitting there saying “I told you if you follow me I’d lead you to victory we got him now and they wrapped their grimy hands and the chains of hell itself around Jesus and they consigned him to one of the cells in Hades section of the underworld. And then Satan and his demons hordes went on a three day drunk, they thought they had him. They have defeated and thwarted the plan of almighty God and Jesus sat there as it were immobile not saying a word not doing anything except serving our sentence.”

I appreciate this interview.....it was solid and to the point....i don't think the specific christian rappers mentioned were attacking anyone's church/ministry but simply discernment. John and Peter both warned of false teachers, and Jesus said they may come to us in sheep's clothing (Matt. 7:15; 1 Jno. 4:1; 2 Pet. 2:1). John said our duty is to "test the spirits," and Paul said: "Test everything. Hold on to the good." (1 Thess. 5:21). The mega church is rapidly growing because preachers are preaching what people want to hear and not Christ! We have to teach the person and work of Christ to win souls not how to be a better person and be a better you!
Brother Fred Price sounds like he is willing to chop it up with those who disagree with him and his ministry. I got nothing but love for him . Forget arguing about health and wealth... like Brother Price said ,it is all about JESUS and instead of debating and arguing back and forth Brother P will provide the Da South family with the audio clips that are the crux of the matter ...Did Jesus pay the price for our sins on the Cross or in Hell? That is a Question for sure , Brother P says our sin debt was paid for on a Tree on Golgotha 2000 years ago ...These clips say something else....

As the Youth Minister at CCC (Crenshaw Christian Center)and an emcee for the past 20 years i appreciate hearing this interview. I feel it is time to move past our petty differences and minister Christ to the lost. Have been a fan of Wade O for a while, but the fact that he has transcended past a singled minded view of the issues. Now investigating both sides have made me a true believer in his unique place in ministry. Keep up the great work God has called you to do Wade and may this interview spark more people to put aside their issues to unite in Christ. Big ups to Zee & Da South.com!!! God bless

Great interview. It was very interesting , especialy about the part about crossmovement. I felt the same way for a while, then I just let it go. I was raised in a household were my parents taught us word of faith doctrine. I still live by it today! I see the division in the hhh circles and I think its nonsense. How can we expect to impact the world and change lives when we can't even unit as one for Jesus.
