Update: We have learned that Jyreffe Clark's emcee name was "J Notes." Below we have posted a song from his YouTube Channel and a recent dedication video that was uploaded in his memory.
Jyreffe Clark was killed Saturday night and the classmate police say did it, has confessed.
17-year-old Franklin Robertson is in jail right now on a murder charge. According to court documents, he told investigators how he killed his friend and tried to cover it up.
According to the Times Dispatch, Robertson told investigators that he shot 17-year-old Jyreffe Clark in the head, dragged his body about 50 yards and cleaned up the blood stains.
Clark's mother says this was done on purpose.
"They cleaned it up and put him out like he was trash. That's not an accident. It's just—friends don't do that." says Patricia Sands, Jyreffe's mother.
The report also says at least 20 hours passed between the time of the shooting on Saturday night and when a neighbor discovered Clark's body Sunday afternoon and called police.
The boy's body was found down a gravel lane near Robertson's house.
Two other people, 17-year-old Laquan Tullis and 18-year-old Michael Thompson are charged with accessory to murder. They are out on bond.
Friends say the Christian rap music that Clark would make created some animosity. Police are still looking into the timeline of events.

L.P.C - Sinner's Redemption feat. J Notes (R.I.P. Jyreffe "J Notes" Clark)
Dedicated to the memory of Jyreffe "J Notes" Clark. Very talented and promising young man of God and upcoming rapper. He was killed and although I never got the chance to meet him personally, I could tell he was a good person who didn't deserve his fate. Gone but not forgotten.
