dmaub-inside-out

review-3-5

First, let me begin by saying in the downloading file there was a note for the reviewer, and a couple of promo photos. I am not going to lie, it made me feel special. (Shedding a tear.)

First Thoughts: I really don’t like this album cover.

1. Let’s Go – This guy is the Ol’ dirty bastard of HHH. His Flow is bananas!!! Great Intro.

2. I’m Fly- I hate this chorus, but His flow makes me blush. Canton murked the end though.

3. Keep My Name Out Ur Mouf- This song is okay. It’s weird the way I enjoy the message but, the chorus is throwing me off. His flow is clear and precise, which makes this song enjoyable.

4. I Want Money- This song is dope. Beat is Dope. Martymar Approved.

5. Death Before Dishonor- This song is nuts, I’m talking like planters. I really like D-maub’s flow its probably one of the best in HHH. I like this song.

6. Stand Firm- This song would probably make people go crazy. If he was performing this song I would go to my car in fear of being jumped on and bruised.  R-swift always comes through extra nice. Beat is harder than Chuck Norris’ skin.

7. Inside Out- Chorus is ehhh. Lyrics are important but if the chorus aint right it makes me want to skip a song. This song reminds me of Juvenile.

8. I Got Bread- I don’t know who began rapping first, but He is dope. The beat and the song are good, but the choruses and type of tracks on this album sound a little similar, which kind of bums me out.

9. Drop It- The features on this song make me want to high five my mother. But the Chorus on this song just doesn’t do it for me.

10. So Professional- This song is not as wild as the other songs, but it’s a great switch. I like the chorus on this song.

11. Fresh- I like this song, this would turn out to be a great music video. Another great switch.

12. Stand Out- Okay I feel like this song doesn’t really mesh with the album that well. It’s a good song but doesn’t fit.

13. I Won’t Lose- good song, would have been dope with a Feature.

14. Dad- These songs are what make a great album. GREAT SONG.

15. People Crazy- This beat is funky, I always love a live band feel. His flow has got me hooked, I must admit.

16. Never Surrender- D-Maub loves the Asian beats. The Chorus is Ehh but the verses are great.

The Wrap up: D-maub is a very dope artist. I love his flow, it’s creative and entertaining. I love the way he preaches through his tracks. The message is clear and well thought out. I wish he spent more time on the chorus for certain songs. Some tracks are great, some are just okay.

I would rate this album a 3 out of 5.

Underrated. This is as creative as some of the top artists, and I often listen to Trip Lee's new album, and new stuff like that.

God bless, just the tip of the iceberg.

Met him in Detroit, at the Hand of God Tour. Most humble CHH artist I've talked too. Real dude, real music!

The album is good, i would give it 3.5- 4/5 but i do agree some of the chrous' could have been better, especially for a national release! On I got bread it features kamBINO and Knine.

I wasn't coming down on you either, I was merely stating the facts on why some artists choose to use songs that helped catapult their career. It helps them reach an audience that's never heard of them before. D-Maub just happens to be one of those artists that chose to make that move. Just think about there are music lovers accross the globe that's never heard the song "So Professional" with the new deal he has, now these music lovers with get that chance to hear "So Professional" and more..... plus this gives him a chance to win more souls, you feel me? That's all I'm saying. That's why there's an importance to make those moves, sometimes that decision is by the artists themselves, and sometimes its made by the labels. Its never bad to go with what works for you. GOD BLESS HOMIE.........AND COP THE ALBUM FROM D-MAUB......ITS CRAZY HOT!!!!!!

Why do people think others are coming against them when they respond to them? LOL! I gave the reason why he did it, never said you were hating, but had to explain why. You can't generalize a response like that, not everyone came at you upset.

This was actually a really wise decision. I almost had the same reaction as you did but I remembered who he signed with months ago that makes this possible. If you don't know, D-Maub has a new album coming out soon anyways, I'm not sure if its this year or next, but its not that far away. In light of that, I see that it makes more sense to do it this way.

Yeah I digg wut ur sayin...He gave him a compliment in the same comment.

i've heard a lot of D-maub ludacris comparisons but this is the first Odb of HHH

Either Way Go get that INSIDE OUT ALBUM NOW!!!

He didn't say that D-Maub sounded like ODB... he was basically saying his flow is unmatched...

People, a review is not the end all, be all! If you dig the music, get it. Do not stop yourself from buying an album, previews unheard or sight unseen....
513 Stand UP!
written by Louis White, June 02, 2010
This is an excellent album! Although I think some songs were better than others, I still think this is done well! The creativeness in the beats lets me know that Maub thinks outside the box! Also think the last song Never Surrender is beastly! HeeSun Lee and Seda came real hard on the track! And D-Maub......well he's be hard ever since he picked up a mic! I give this album a 4/5!

PLEASE UNDERSTAND AND NOT HATE......
written by Keith Harrison, June 02, 2010
What gets me is how some folks don't understand the music biz, most artist re-use songs for their debut albums, due to the fact that these are the songs that helped make them who they are. Go back to 2000 when Nelly 1st came out, little does anyone know the hit songs "Country Grammar", "EI", and "Ride With Me" were out four years prior to him getting signed to Universal. Those songs helped get to where he is now. The point is you got with what got you there, and you go higher by the grace of God. And by the way.......NELLY'S 1ST ALBUM "COUNTRY GRAMMAR" WENT 9x's PLATINUM!!!!!! Let's not hate on or dislike what our Christian artist are doing for the Kingdom, help promote and uplift these artist. Let's be proud that these artists are getting noticed and signed by the major labels and making noise in the industry. So what D-Maub put those songs on his new album, he's reaching for a bigger and UNSAVED audience, BE HAPPY THAT HE'S DOING THAT!!!!!!! GEEEZ, I HATE WHEN FOLKS DOWN THEIR OWN PEERS FOR DOING RIGHT. DO YOUR THING D-MAUB, THE MAJORITY OF US ARE PROUD OF YOUR ACCOMPLISHMENTS!!!!! GOD BLESS YOU HOMIE!!!!!!!!!!!
McDonalsds.. IM LOVIN IT!

Hot Hot Hot Album!... I was a lil hesitant when i saw a mix of old and new tracks but they are like hearing your Jam on the radio... Never Gets old! I cant wait to see How the World accepts this Project! - Blessings
There's a reason for this
written by Lamar , June 02, 2010
The reason why songs are repeated is because now this is a national release. If you didn't know Mr.Del signed D-M.A.U.B. and because of that he gets distribution from Universal Records exposing him to a wider audience, which includes people who never heard of him before.

what i dont like about this album is a couple of these songs are from previous releases. i cant stand when songs are re-used for another album. besides that d-maubs flow is always on point, some hot tracks but i think i would agree with the review. GOD BLESS
i can't agree with this review
written by Brian Ellis, June 02, 2010
honestly i think its 5/5. but certainly nothing less than 4/5. A definite must have if you are a D-MAUB fan.
umm
written by Jeremiah, June 01, 2010
I have the album. And if I had read this before buying the album, I wouldn't have bought it.

Also, what happened to the previous reviewers? Not a whole lot of details. These reviews can definitely be better. I understand we live in an era where we want the basics and not the lengthy, but sometimes the basics don't fully appreciate real meaning of what has been done.

And I don't think it was intentional, but there's a lot of tearing down rather than complimenting. Like D-M.A.U.B. said, "...Work it like a pro!"

Love
3/5?
